ABOUT PSYCHOTHERAPY

When life feels overwhelming, being deeply listened to and genuinely heard can bring relief, clarity, and a sense of direction. Perhaps you’re feeling: Anxious or overwhelmed – caught in constant worry, on edge, or finding it hard to switch off, even when you’re exhausted. Low or lost – feeling flat, unmotivated, or unsure of who you are or where your life is heading. Alone or disconnected – struggling to feel close to others, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or wondering why connection feels so hard. Carrying the past – living with grief, unresolved family tensions, or old experiences that still affect you more than you'd like. Stuck or burnt out – caught in habits you want to change, weighed down by life’s demands, or simply running on empty. Psychotherapy provides a safe and reflective space where we can explore what’s happening for you and begin to ask—why, how, and what’s next? My approach is rooted in the theory that to understand the present, we sometimes need to look at the past. The people, experiences, and emotions that shaped us don’t simply disappear—they echo through our lives in ways we might not yet see. By making sense of these patterns together, change becomes possible: a clearer future, and a life that feels more like your own. You don’t need to be in crisis to have therapy. If something doesn’t feel right, or you’re simply curious to understand yourself more deeply—that’s a meaningful place to start.

ABOUT WILLIAM

I’m a psychodynamic psychotherapist based in Central London, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). With over two decades of experience supporting people through the emotional complexities of life, I bring a grounded, compassionate presence to my work as a therapist. I hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of London, as well as degrees from UEA Norwich and Oxford University. Alongside my private practice, I’m an Honorary Counsellor at South Bucks Counselling, a community therapy centre in High Wycombe. My clinical training and experience shape how I work: I listen with warmth, care, and curiosity, offering a calm and confidential space where you can explore what’s happening for you. Sessions last 50 minutes and take place weekly. Whether you're looking for short-term support or a longer-term journey, we’ll decide together what feels right. I invite you to get in touch to arrange a complimentary 15-minute call. It’s a chance to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and see if this could be the right fit for you.
